Why ACED?

The ACED project is an exciting initiative designed to empower students to navigate their educational journey with confidence and insight. By providing them with the necessary tools to understand essential employability skills and credentials crucial for success in the workforce, the project sets a solid foundation for their future endeavors.

This initiative fosters a challenging yet nurturing learning environment, instilling in students elevated expectations for their academic achievements, including high school graduation, postsecondary education, and professional training. Ultimately, it paves the way for their seamless transition into the workforce, equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive.

The ACED project stands as a testament to collaboration and partnership, closely aligned with the Education Progress Meter goals of Achieve 60AZ. By integrating the Arizona Career Literacy Standards and incorporating personalized Education & Career Action Plans (ECAPs) for students, it ensures tailored support for each individual’s journey.

Emphasizing partnerships with businesses, this initiative not only bridges the gap between education and the workforce but also aligns career exploration activities with the dynamic demands of today’s and tomorrow’s job market. Through these partnerships, the ACED project maximizes opportunities for students to explore and pursue career pathways that align with their passions and talents while meeting the evolving needs of the workforce now and into the future.
